Love was in the air on Sunday, February 14th for our special Valentine's Day tours! Visitors enjoyed a kissing booth with Animal Acres staff, a decadent vegan sweets bake sale, Bollywood dancing, giving pigs a belly rub, kissing cows (or our shelter manager, tour guides, or office coordinator!), and cherishing lots of tender-loving moments with all the sanctuary animals. Visitors brought blankets and vegan lunches and created romantic picnics in the courtyard with our chickens and other feathered friends, delighting in all the wonderful vegan baked goods brought for our bake sale. Singles, couples, and families all came to celebrate compassion and love, shared a special Valentine's Day tour presentation by our Tour Liaison Ciddy Fonteboa, and connected with our beloved farmed friends at Animal Acres. All tour donations, bake sale proceeds, and membership contributions on Valentine's Day went to our 2010 Emergency Rescue Fund Drive to raise urgently needed funding for farmed animal rescue efforts, spreading the love even more!
