4th of July Pignic

Saturday, July 4 - Noon to 4 pm

Wild Child teaches our guests how smart
and playful pigs are.
Come celebrate a festive Fourth at Animal Acres! Join us for our annual PIGNIC for farm tours, face-painting, delicious picnic food and old-fashioned field games. When is the last time you jumped in a gunny sack or competed in a rousing wheelbarrow race? Stuff your face with watermelon, frozen treats and our cruelty-free twist on the traditional "Fourth of July" barbeque!

Our celebration will be in full swing from 12 noon to 4:00 pm with food served all day and field games starting at 2:00 pm. Reservations are not required - Tickets are just $7 per adult and $5 per child (12 and under) and admission price includes a FREE soydog and beverage. Hope to see you to celebrate Independence Day for the animals, too!

Please note that Animal Acres does not refund ticket sales. Thank you.

Featured Speaker
Ruby Roth
Ruby Roth is the author of "That's Why We Don't Eat Animals", a compassionate look at the plight of animals on factory farms, using gorgeous artwork and lively text to introduce vegetarianism and veganism to early readers.

An endearing cast of animals is shown both in their natural state-rooting around, bonding, nuzzling, cuddling, grooming one another, and charming each other with their family instincts and rituals-and in the sad conditions of the factory farm. The book also addresses the effect eating animals has on our environment, rainforests, and endangered species. Roth's new book is the boldest step yet in children's literature, and a key resource to inspire parents and children to talk about a timely, increasingly important subject.
