Help Organize the Compassionate Cuisine Event in Long Beach
The amazing Compassionate Cuisine event - which drew 410 people last year - needs a team of volunteers now to help obtain items for the event SILENT AUCTION. With your help, we can raise thousands of dollars for our rescue efforts - and keep our doors open for hundreds more animals suffering in factory farms, auctions, and slaughterhouses. Whether you can obtain one item or a hundred items, you will be making a direct difference for our farmed animal friends. The Compassionate Cuisine event is an amazing evening, featuring dozens of vegan food vendors, entertainment, and more. This year, we are celebrating the event's fifth anniversary - and it's guaranteed to be the best Compassionate Cuisine event, ever. Veggie Pride Parade - LA Planning Committee Members Needed
Animal Acres is hosting LA's second annual VEGGIE PRIDE PARADE! Last year's VPP event drew over 1,000 vegheads who paraded through the streets of LA to demonstrate and educate -it was truly an inspirational event, and helped us spread our veggie message to thousands of people. This year's VPP is being held in Santa Monica on Saturday, October 30th, and will be coordinated entirely by a team of dedicated volunteer planning committee members. Each committee member will assume responsibility for a VPP area, such as contacting non-profit groups and restaurants, posting fliers and posters, etc. If you would like to play a vital role to bring the VEGGIE PRIDE PARADE to southern California, please email Lorri Houston, VPP Planning Committee Chair, at: lorri@animalacres.org.
Animal Acres urgently needs CARPENTERS, PLUMBERS, and ELECTRICIANS to help complete several sanctuary building projects and maintain the sanctuary facilities. If you can help with any of these needed special services, please call or email us to set up your sanctuary project.
