THE ANIMAL ACRES 'CONNECT THE DOTS' HUMANE EDUCATION PROJECT
Did you know a recent United Nations report concluded that cows are causing more pollution than cars? The humane education program at Animal Acres examines the environmental, human health, and animal welfare issues regarding the treatment and use of farm animals. Humane education encourages critical thinking and our own role in effecting change — in a fun and unique learning venue, our sanctuary!
Animal Acres is located on 26 beautiful acres in Acton, CA, just 45 minutes from downtown Los Angeles. The sanctuary is home to nearly 150 farm animals. At Animal Acres, kids of all ages can talk to a turkey or give a pig a belly rub, and learn why it is so important to be kind to all animals. Treat your students to a unique learning experience at Animal Acres. Click here for more information on our special School & Youth Group Tours.

Thank Moo to animal advocate Jonathan Silver! Jonathan is pictured here with Animal Acres' very own, Jorja. Jonathan recently asked his friends and family to donate to Animal Acres in lieu of receiving birthday gifts. A lifelong vegetarian along with his sister, Jonathan enjoys visiting the sanctuary to let the animals know how much they are loved! Good work Jonathan!
Dear Lorri,
This year for my 9th birthday, I asked my friends to bring donations for the animals instead of gifts. In this envelope, there is $365.00. Please help as many animals as you can.

The Compassion In Action (CIA) Club
The Compassion In Action (CIA) Club is a relatively new non-profit organization designed to help the next generation learn to be compassionate, healthy, conscientious leaders. Kids learn what is really going on in the world when it comes to animals...things that they don't learn about in their textbooks. Activities include raising money for other non-profit organizations, screening films, building mini-libraries, inviting speakers, changing school lunch menus, finding alternatives to animal dissection in science classes, and much, much more. Please visit www.theCIAclub.com for more information about starting a CIA Club at a school near you.
