URGENT FARMED ANIMAL PLACEMENT NEED

114 GOATS WHO ARE NOW RESIDING AT OUR EVACUATION CENTER NEED TO FIND LOVING, FOREVER HOMES

In April of this year, Animal Acres rescued over 150 animals from a severe hoarding cruelty case. After several weeks of rehabilitation, and needed veterinary care, the animals are now healthy to be placed into loving forever homes - and the need to place the 114 goats is now urgent!

Because of the large number of animals involved, Animal Acres used its evacuation center in Palmdale, CA to temporarily house and rehabilitate the rescued goats. Due to an early and already devastating fire season in the Antelope Valley, we now need to place the goats at the evacuation center immediately so we can use the evacuation center for the 300 plus animals currently residing at Animal Acres should we need to evacuate. Nearby fires in our area have us on high alert - and we need your help to ensure the safety and well being of all the animals at Animal Acres.

If you or someone you know can adopt two or more companion goats, please email: info@animalacres.org Goats are wonderful companions - friendly, fun, and loving. Naturally social, they enjoy spending time with their human companions - whether taking a walk, playing "head butting" games, or just relaxing together. Goats' needs are simple - but they do need to be housed in an enclosed fence area and safe barn to be kept safe from coyotes or dogs who can attack and kill goats.

Individuals interested in adopting goats are also encouraged to attend our COMPANION GOAT DAY on Sunday, August 8th from Noon to 2 pm. Come and meet our goat friends, and learn about the housing, feed, and health care needs for goats (including demonstrations on how to humanely restrain goats, groom and trim hooves.) RSVP required - please email: info@animalacres.org.
